To be a successful fisherman there is definitely some fishing equipment that you must have.       A fish finder is a great asset to have because fish migrate depending on water temperatures and available food sources. A good fish finder can be expensive, but is worth every penny. You might be in one spot all day, and never know that 20 feet away is the school you’re trying to hook into. A set of gloves and a pair of needle-nose pliers are also excellent equipment to bring along. Protecting your hands is very important because some fish have extremely sharp teeth and razor like fins. Gloves make it easier for you to hold on to your catch so it doesn’t wiggle its way out of your grasp and slip back into the water.
      A portable global positioning system (GPS) is very convenient to have. If you find a good spot you want to remember for the next time, just punch in a few buttons and it will lead you right back to where you were before. It is also a good idea if you are backwoods fishing. If you get lost, you can find your way back to where you started. Just remember to bring extra batteries.
